In order to strengthen and promote emergency management in office buildings and comprehensively implement principle of "regarding security as first, focusing on prevention, and combining prevention with elimination", drills of "11.9 Disaster escape" and "on-site Emergency operations" were conducted in the office buildings by Shanghai World Financial Center on the afternoon of October 29, 2015. This activity was aimed at improving public fire safety awareness of the first aid, as well as their capabilities of self-prevention, self-rescue and mutual rescue so that people can make quick response in face with sudden accidents and safeguard the personal and property security of companies and employees.
The professional mentor teams of AIMSN "First-aid vanguard" were invited to take part in the drill, who conducted on-site presentation and teaching of first aid, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) in the round lobby on the 2nd floor in Shanghai World Financial Center.AIMSN devotes itself to the cause of public first aid, providing personalized and customized on-site emergency programs (before the arrival of professional medical staffs), large-scale contingency plans and contingency drill programs for social and public services platform.
Tenants of Shanghai World Financial Center office building, including representatives of many well-known enterprises as well as property security personnel of the building participated in the drills. Many media shot the whole activity at the scene and subsequently reported the drills.
The drills are mainly about how to make on-site first aid rescue in case of daily sudden accidents, trauma, sudden death and other diseases. The drills enjoyed support from the leaders of Red Cross in Pudong New Area. Mr. Sheng, vice president of Red Cross in Pudong New Area, attended the drills, and replied to the audience and the relevant institutions with the questions and concerns on a number of government policies and the legislative process.
Ms. Sheng, Vice president, said that in recent years, Shanghai municipal government has sustained great attention and support to pre-hospital public first aid; Through several rounds of arguments and modification among the Health and Family Planning Commission, Politics and Law Committee, National People's Congress and other relevant institutions, it was decided that Shanghai will issue a "Good Samaritan law" at the end of 2015, stipulating that the public who have acquired emergency certification after training can take part in emergency rescue with exemption; in addition, in next three years, the Pudong New Area government will promote the popularity and installation of automated external defibrillator(AED) in the public places in Pudong New Area (such as scenic spots, banks, office buildings, parks, schools etc.).Playing a good exemplary role, Shanghai World Financial Center cooperated with the Red Cross in Pudong New Area to complete the installation of 2 Feikang automated external defibrillators (AED).
Ms. Sheng, Vice president called for and encouraged more enterprises to organize employees to participate in training and acquire cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) operation along with the method of application of automatic defibrillator(AED) and other self-rescue and mutual-rescue skills.
